If you are anything like me, you like to think forward to upcoming activites. Some may do this to push themselves to keep going. Some may do this to keep themselves thinking positive. Some might do this just to avoid the ‘now’. However, no-matter-what, if you are into heavy music, you should be looking forward to Rock on the Range.

Rock on the Range is a three-day rock festival/concert on May 15th (Friday), May 16th (Saturday), and May 17th (Sunday). This may seem far ahead, but just think of how fast this first semester went. It will be held at the Columbus Crew Station in Columbus, Ohio. There will be many bands playing on these days. Groups include the following: Slipknot, Linkin Park, and Judas Priest all the way to New Medicine, You Me At Six, Motionless in White, and so much more (For a full list of the line-up, go to rockontherange.com).

A concert is an exciting experience. The music is loud, the people are boisterous, and the atmosphere is full of adoration. There are hundreds of people crowding around stages just to listen to the music. It becomes something exhilerating to them. They live for live music. If you feel anything like this while listening to heavier music, you better buy your tickets soon (Their cheapest tickets were just sold out!)! They are going fast!

Rock on the Range is “where rock lives.” It is the home of those who dare to listen to the meaning. Music is the voice one has trouble expressing at times.

Enjoy the sound and let it carry you away to a place one can only dream of.
